Terms and Conditions

  • It is a legal requirement and professional obligation that the Practitioner must obtain prior written consent from the animal's owner and/or treating veterinary surgeon before commencing any physiotherapy treatment.

    • Maintenance Treatments: Treatments solely for maintenance purposes do not require new veterinary consent, unless the animal is currently under veterinary investigation or care for a recent issue, in which case consent is required. Owner consent is required.

    • Collaborative Care: The Practitioner works in collaboration with your veterinary professional to ensure the highest standard of care. If the initial assessment indicates a condition requiring veterinary intervention, treatment will be suspended until the animal has been examined by the vet. This ensures a comprehensive and appropriate physiotherapy regimen.

    • Referral Form: A Veterinary Referral Form must be completed and submitted to the Practitioner before the initial appointment. This can be arranged by either the Client or the Practitioner.

Right to Refuse: The Practitioner reserves the right to refuse or postpone treatment if the required veterinary consent has not been received.

    • All appointment bookings are subject to availability.

    • Fees for appointments will be communicated to The Client at the time of booking and are payable in full upon completion of the appointment.

    • The Practitioner accepts payment via bank transfer and cash

If paying by BACS an invoice will be sent after the session with a 14-day payment window, payments made after this period will incur a 20% late fee every 7-days until payment is received.

    • The Client is responsible for safely restraining the animal during appointments.

    • The Client must disclose any known or suspected behavioral issues, aggression, or infectious conditions of the animal prior to the appointment.

    • The Practitioner takes every precaution to provide a safe and professional service; The Client is required to accept full responsibility for their animal's behaviour during the session.

  • The Practitioner operates a strict cancellation policy to ensure fairness to all clients and to compensate The Practitioner for lost income and travel time.

    • Cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment time will be charged 100% of the fee.

    • Cancellations between 24 and 48 hours prior will be charged 50% of the fee, unless the slot is filled by another client.

    • Cancellations with more than 48 hours' notice will not be charged.

    • Failure to attend a scheduled appointment ("No-Show") without notice will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

    • Payment of any cancellation fee must be settled before any further appointments can be booked.

  • Veterinary Physiotherapy is not a substitute for veterinary care. The Practitioner will work in collaboration with the referring veterinarian.

    • The Practitioner is insured for professional indemnity and public liability.

    • The Practitioner shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, or expense, direct or indirect, arising from or in connection with the services provided, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

    • All client and patient information will be held in accordance with current data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and will not be shared with any third party without explicit consent.

    • Records of treatment will be shared only with the referring veterinary surgeon, and other relevant professionals, with the Client's consent.
